Assistant Accountant 

We are looking for an ambitious and driven person to join our growing Account’s team, based at our Head Office in Toomebridge, Co. Antrim. 


The role will be a 12 month full time fixed-term contract with a view to becoming a permanent position


  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly management and statutory accounts
  • Cash management and reporting
  • Bank and card reconciliations
  • Preparation and posting of general ledger journals
  • Responsible for raising sales invoices and payments
  • Responsible for supplier statement reconciliation
  • Carrying out Balance sheet/control account reconciliations.
  • Preparation and submission of VAT & CIS returns
  • HMRC compliance and submissions


To perform successfully in this role, you will need:

  • Experience of working within a similar role
  • Qualified or part qualified Accountant
  • Ability to work effectively both alone and in a team environment
  • Ability to work productively and flexibly under pressure while meeting deadlines and the demands of the business
  • Excellent IT skills specifically Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Strong communication skills to work alongside colleagues and external parties
  • To have strong confidentiality and integrity in all aspects of the accounts function
  • Experience of Sage 50 accounts package


  • Experience using Sage 200 accounts package
  • Previous experience of working in a Construction/Fit out company
